Welcome to this Grafana Labs introduction to OpenTelemetry workshop.

Let's make sure you're all set up.

Firstly, choose your color mode​

Prefer reading in light mode, or dark mode? You can pick either.

Toggle to your preferred color mode by clicking on the Light icon in the top right corner ⮥

What you'll need​

For this workshop, you'll need to bring:

  • An up-to-date web browser, with JavaScript enabled.
  • Some water, so you can stay hydrated!
  • Create a github account
  • Create a free Grafana cloud account

For this workshop we will run the code using github codespace and Grafana cloud

What's covered​

In this workshop, we'll go over the basics of OpenTelemetry with:

  • Simple exercises to perform in the terminal

  • Configuring and running a collector

  • Quizzes at the end of each lab

  • Hands-on steps for you to perform in Grafana Cloud
